Making Sense of Large-Scale Omics Data

Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 12:00 PM until 1:00 PMEastern Standard Time UTC -05:00

Virtual, Zoom

Three faculty members (Yijuan Hu, Steve Qin, and Hao Wu) with research focus on the general direction of bioinformatics will present their recent works on developing statistical methods and computational tools for analyzing “high-throughput” genetics and genomics data. These data are big, messy and complex, which require rigorous and efficient methods for analysis. They will demonstrate the power of statistical modeling in biomedical “big data”, and how the methods can make an impact on public health and clinical research.
