The Paul D. Coverdell Peace Corps Fellowship advances the third goal of Peace Corps to help promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans by developing and maintaining educational partnerships that place returned volunteers in internships in underserved U. S. communities. It also supports RSPH's mission by creating an environment supporting excellence in service and training of leaders to promote health and prevent disease in human populations around the world.

RSPH’s Coverdell applications are reviewed by the current cohort of Coverdell Fellows with guidance from the Scholars in Action staff. The individuals reviewing your Coverdell application do not have access to your RSPH application, SOPHAS application, or FAFSA documents.

1. What was a lesson you learned during your service and how were you able to incorporate it into your Peace Corps service? (500 words)
